Gray’s Jewelry was founded in 1959 by Lawson and Rosemary Gray. Through hard work and perseverance the family business grew and they were soon joined by their two sons, Benny and Greg. They took over the family business in 1979, which they operated together until 1989. At that time, Benny bought out his brother’s half of the business. In 2003, Benny sold the Minden business to his oldest son Lonnie, who still operates the business today. The family business began with emphasis on customer service and fair prices for fine jewelry. These values are still the foundation of their business today.

Lonnie GrayI graduated from Minden High School in 1984. I always knew the jewelry business would be a passion of mine, so I helped my parents open a store in Homer, Louisiana, in May of 1984. I managed the Homer store until June 2003 when I purchased the Minden store. I am married to Amy Gray and we have two daughters and one son, Nicole, Hilary and Peyton. Nicole is married to Brandon Chreene. I have also been blessed with a granddaughter, Mckenna Chreene and a grandson Drake Chreene. I was a volunteer firefighter in Homer and Minden for 25 years. I also enjoyed coaching youth softball and baseball for most of my adult life. However, my new passion is CrossFit.

Margo GrayI graduated from Glenbrook High School in 1992. I am married to Roger Gray, and we have one son, Braxton. I started working part time for Gray’s Jewelry in Nov 1992 for Benny Gray. Benny’s mother, Rosemary Gray still worked for Gray’s Jewelry in Minden until Fall 1993 and that is when I began working full time in the Minden, Homer, and Haynesville stores. Benny and Millie Gray retired in June 2003 and that is when I started working for Lonnie Gray in the Minden store. I love to work with my customers to help them find the perfect piece of jewelry to fit their needs. My hobbies include working out, running, going to church, and spending time with my family.
